Blast Skates is a UK skateboard company headed up by artist/skater Matthew Bromley.

Based in South London they work with local artists and skaters producing limited decks and plenty of old skool shapes - and you know we love shaped decks at Conflict.

The Blast Skates logo takes it’s inspiration from 1950s/60s advertising - I can't picture exactly what but the yellow character seems very familiar. The Blast philosophy that skating should be fun is evident in their videos and graphics something that is missing from too many big brands today.

Enjoy skating Have a Blast!

This is a board which everyone wants - well everyone over 35 or so!

I can see why.  It's almost symmetrical but has a shorter nose than tail, in an old skool vibe.

It's like a bastard son of the old Vallely "Barnyard" deck which skaters from the early 90s all remember.

Roller Surfer has a style which is pretty unique but not unattainable, unlike like the pros you see doing "Jaws" style gaps or monster ramp madness.  He skates small stuff which is more relatable for the average skater but comes up with quirky, crazy lines and weird as hell tricks.

Watching him makes you want to get out and skate, and maybe learn one of his moves.  Not hyped up but more "maybe I could do that, or that, or a bit of that..."

His deck is as different as his skating - symmetrical looking, with square kicks, a shorter nose kick and almost straight rails.

Will it help you skate like Roller Surfer?  It's not gonna make it any harder.  ;-)

I want to ride one and I'm over 60 now!
