The Navaho Surfskate complete is fitted with a new truck which allows you to flow in and out of turns even quicker and with more ease.
The front truck is designed to turn really sharply giving a super tight turning circle. This set up makes it possible to pump the board from turn to turn to move forward rather than pushing. (obviously you can still push too!)
You can pump on a regular board or longboard too but it is much harder to achieve. Almost everyone should be able to do this on a surfskate not just those "born on a board".
The truck system on this one is very similar to the Carver CX / C7 combination but at a fraction of the cost!
For years the only surfskates available have been vastly overpriced - the Carver truck system alone retails for around £100 which is far more than regular skateboard or longboard trucks of similar quality. Why? Lack of competition maybe?
Finally we are now starting to get sensible priced alternatives coming onto the market of which this new D-Street is a prime example...the full board for the cost of just the carver trucks!
The trucks bases have 8 holes so you can alter the wheelbase slightly to tweek the turning circle and stability of the ride.
The wheels are 65mm diameter and 83a hardness for a smooth ride with plenty of grip.
If you're in the market for a surfskate and on a budget then these D-Street completes are worth a serious look.
You could buy one of these and a Santa Cruz complete cruiser board so you'd have a great surfskate and a great regular cruiser board all for less than the price of a big name surfskate.
