Lurpiv trucks come straight from Sweden, a country renowned for technical innovation, with Polar Skateboards and Nike SB Pro Oskar "Oski" Rozenberg partnering on the new European truck brand.  It is clear from the beginning that Lurpiv trucks prioritize quality in steering, grind behaviour, and a creative approach to design and functionality.  Oski is known for his ability to perform huge airs and long grinds on pools, coping with all kinds of trucks, which means he understands what is essential for a skateboard truck to count as a good one.

After the first generation of Lurpiv trucks had to struggle with a few teething problems, Oski completely overhauled the design and construction of the axles with the help of Pontus Alv. The updated version of the first generation of Lurpiv Trucks fully reflects the generally positive feedback on steering behaviour and overall performance.

The innovative technical features of the axles, such as the spacer built into the hanger or the anti-wheel bite technology on the pivot of the hanger, have of course been retained in the second generation. The new Lurpiv trucks come in four sizes, conveniently measured and named directly in millimetres for the European market. They are available in "normal" and hollow versions, covering all truck requirements. This means you can easily find exactly what you need without unnecessary frills.

It's clear from the first glance – the design of Lurpiv trucks stands out from the sea of run-of-the-mill truck designs. After the vast majority of common skateboard trucks have looked more or less the same for years, Lurpiv is taking a different yet old-school path here. The significantly narrower hanger is reminiscent of the look of the first independent models from the late 1970s, giving Lurpiv trucks a pleasantly unobtrusive retro vibe.

When compared directly with other popular trucks such as Indy, Thunder, or Ace, one can notice the less rounded edges of the hanger. Aside from the naturally rounded surface for optimal grind behaviour, the distinctive look of Lurpiv Trucks is defined by clear, straight edges. Well all that is a load of text direct from the Lurpiv website so here is our 2 pence worth:

Funky, retro looking trucks with great build quality.  They turn really well - too well for some skaters!  If you like a fast turning truck though then these are as good as any.  They also have an anti wheel bite feature built in to the pivot design.  It doesn't eliminate it but does reduce the chance of wheel bite, which has to be a good thing.

The look is very Indy Stage 1, from back in the late 70s, so these would look right on DogTown 1970s reissues.  Only 4 holes in the bases though so they won't fit reissues which have the older longer hole pattern.

These are the lighter weight ones featuring hollow axles and kingpins.
